Heatworks, the company that is reinventing the way we heat and use clean water, is continuing to strategically expand its award-winning product team. After a jam-packed Q1 where Heatworks dominated headlines with its eye-popping Tetra Countertop Dishwasher and won a Red Dot Award in Product Design for its innovative MODEL 3 Smart Water Heater, the South Carolina-based company is maintaining its focus on meaningful team growth with two new managerial positions.

Jack Callahan has been with Heatworks since 2014, working on both the production and operations sides before moving to a business development role. Demonstrating repeated success in every role he’s taken on, Jack, now Product Manager, will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of Heatworks’ products, including the MODEL 3. Local to Charleston, Jack earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Marketing and Management at the University of South Carolina.

Don Spina is coming to Heatworks with two decades of technical experience at world-leading storage companies and startups. In addition to his new role as Lab Manager, Don’s bringing test engineering experience as a skilled technician and quality engineer to the lab/engineering team. Originally from Colorado, Don has an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree in Electronics.

“It’s no secret that 2018 has been our most exciting year yet,” said Heatworks Founder and CEO, Jerry Callahan. “Jack has been such a critical part of that success, and I have the utmost confidence in both he, and Don, in furthering the upward trajectory with our current and future products.”

Powered by Heatworks’ patented Ohmic Array Technology, Heatworks products don’t use traditional metal heating elements that can rust and scale over time. Instead, Heatworks uses water as the heating element. Through graphite electrodes and advanced electronic controls, the naturally occurring minerals in water are excited, directly and efficiently heating the water. And, since water is used as the heating element, the hot water is purer than water from any other sources available in the industry today.

The MODEL 3 is available now for preorder and will begin shipping to existing customers in May, while Tetra should be available later this year. To learn more about Heatworks visit MyHeatworks.com.
